GET THE BOOK: TOO SMART TO BE STRUGGLING
It’s time to heal burnout and create a career that supports you.
When I was 4 years old, my mother and I were standing in the kitchen and I said...

“Hey, Mom, I like helping people. I want to be a nurse.”

She said to me, “Roni, you're bright, so be a doctor. You’ll have more control.”

I graduated from Princeton and built a part-time ophthalmology practice from patient zero to 1000+ patients and nearly $1 million per year.

One day in the operating room, as the nurses gave me cues, I realized I had very little control. That I was simply a cog in the machine.

They don’t tell you this in medical school.

I wanted a true sense of freedom and control, so I chose to transition out of the traditional medical world.
I’m Dr. Veronica Anderson, and today I’m a burnout-recovery specialist and physician career makeover coach for professionals working in systems that aren’t supporting them.

If you’re struggling, I want you to know that you can…

Reinvent yourself.
Identify your hidden gifts and talents.
Find meaning in your work.
Make more money.

Reclaim your health.
Get back into your hobbies.
Strengthen your relationships.
Finally have free time.
This isn’t about getting out of medicine – it’s about getting your life back.
How do we do that?
By identifying the key levers that will make the biggest difference for you.

In my book, Too Smart to Be Struggling: The Guide for Over-Scheduled Doctors to Find Happiness (and Make More Money, Too), I take you through the exact process I’ve used to help hundreds of clients reclaim their health, hobbies, relationships, and lives over the past 6 years.

you’ll Learn...
  • How to gain control and autonomy over your career, so you can spend less time at work and more time with your loved ones.
  • Specific steps to identify your unique secret sauce, so you no longer feel like another cog in the machine.
  • The ninja move to give yourself a raise, even if you have an insurance-based practice, or you’re an employee.
  • The keys to gain true respect from employers, colleagues, and staff, so you feel confident at work.
  • My four-step process to shifting and reshaping your career in a matter of months – and watching it thrive.
If you’re feeling cynical, detached, and emotionally drained, the only thing I want you to know right now is that you have other options.
The first move is to get this book.
I lay out the process of redesigning your career and life very simply, so you don’t have to go through the same painful process I did.

I’m here to shortcut your path to success and satisfaction, on your own terms and in your own way.

Here, there’s no one-size-fits-all model.

The blueprint is you – the way you operate best at work and in life, and how to capitalize on that.

Through Too Smart To Be Struggling, you’ll learn how to play to your strengths, rather than running yourself ragged.

Personally, I overcame physician burnout and went on to coach hundreds of people through their crises, so they could reach a place of true balance and joy.

Maybe you, like me, dreamed of being a doctor as a kid… and now, your present-day reality is nothing like what you hoped it would be.

I know how painful that disappointment is – and I also know there’s another way to do life and work, because I’m living it.

Physician suicide rates are some of the highest in the country.

PTSD is higher in doctors than it is in war veterans.

“I dread coming to work. I find myself being short in dealing with staff and patients.”

“I'm having medical problems as a result of having recurrent miscarriages and drinking more and more, and have become less active.”

“My relationships have withered. My family is frustrated. We rarely make plans to do anything socially, as they are likely to be canceled.”

These are words from the 2019 Medscape National Physician Burnout, Depression, and Suicide Report.

It’s time to take action before it gets bad.
